Transportation Bill – SB1.  Many of you know that there is a bill to repeal SB1 on the ballot. If this is repealed it will have a direct and immediate negative impact on construction in California and specifically all the highway contractors including many WCOE members. This is a HUGE issue in California and SB1 needs to continue to be funded.  Please see the attached fliers to lend your support.

Committee Representation

You may not know that we have WCOE CA members who sit as Board Members on important committees in California including the Cal Trans/SBA Committee, High Speed Rail Committee, and BART.  We will have a report from them at our next membership meeting.  Tune in for details!

Our representatives need feedback from members who are working on/want to work on Caltrans/HSR/DGS projects so we can have issues to bring forward to these councils.  If you have any needs for SBA, please notify Ruth ( or Rebecca (, High Speed Rail notify Lee Cunningham (, and BART, notify Sharon Alberts (
